Martin Schoeller
Martin Schoeller was born in Munich, Germany in 1968 and is now considered "one of the world’s preeminent contemporary portrait photographers". He is most famous for his extreme-close up portraits. He was most inspired by August Sander’s portraits of the poor and the working class. Schoeller studied at Lette Verein and moved to New York in 1990. Since 1998 he has been able to contribute to many publications such as "National Geographic, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, TIME, The New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone and GQ".
